Adsorption property of odor gases on acid- or alkali-deposited activated carbon was investigated using flow-type system. The surface area of acid-deposited AC was slightly decreased, and that of alkali-deposited AC was greatly decreased. The amounts of TMA or AM adsorbed on acid-deposited AC, especially H2SO4/AC was much more than that of alkali-deposited AC. AcA and AA were effectively adsorbed on alkali-deposited AC or purified AC. It was known that the odor gases could be removed by physical mixed H3PO4/AC and purified AC.
