Synthesis of Garnet-type Li7La3Zr2O12 by Coprecipitation Method
A tetragonal garnet-type Li7La3Zr2O12 sample was synthesized by the coprecipitation method for the first time. The particle morphology of the Li7La3Zr2O12 sample prepared by the coprecipitation method was elliptical shape and the primary grain size was smaller than the Li7La3Zr2O12 sample prepared by the conventional solid-state method. The result of the particle size distribution measurement shows that the average secondary particle size was approximately 9.66 mu m, even after calcination at 950 degrees C with a relatively narrow distribution.
