A Facile Synthesis of Branched Oligomers by Metal-free Ring-opening Oligomerization of Glycidyl Phenyl Ether Initiated with n-Bu4NF in the Presence of Polyhydric Alcohols
Branched oligomers with relatively controlled molecular weights were synthesized in a facile manner by metal-free ring-opening oligomerization of glycidyl phenyl ether (GPE) initiated with n-Bu4NF in the presence of polyhydric alcohols such as propane-1,3-diol (PD), trimethylolpropane (TP), and pentaerythritol (PE).
