Synthesis and Photocatalytic Activity of One-dimensional alpha-Fe2O3 Nanorods
1D alpha-Fe2O3 nanorods are successfully fabricated by a facile hydrothermal method. The 1D alpha-Fe2O3 nanorods, evaluated by photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B, exhibit remarkably enhanced visible-light photocatalytic activity as compared to alpha-Fe2O3 irregular nanoparticles, due to enhanced light absorption and larger surface area.
