Sonochemiluminescence from Lucigenin in an Aqueous Solution Using Alcohols as Coreactant
Sonochemiluminescence (SCL) from aqueous lucigenin (Luc(2+)) solutions is described in this study for the first time. It is found that strong SCL can be generated from the oxygen-saturated solution containing a small amount of Luc(2+) and alcohol, and the possible pathways for the Luc(2+) SCL system are discussed.
