Separation of Semiconducting Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes Using a Flavin Compound
We describe the finding that a Ravin molecule carrying a 10-dodecyl long alkyl chain is highly selective when sorting semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) by ca. 99% purity from a semiconducting/metallic SWNT mixture, which was confirmed by Raman spectroscopy. The separated SWNT solution was also characterized by vis near IR absorption spectroscopy and atomic force microscopy.
