Transport of Glycine by Neutralization Dialysis
The transport behaviors of glycine in neutralization dialysis were investigated. Glycine was effectively transported and the transport rate was the largest at the pH of the isoelectric point (pH = 6.0). The dependence of the transport rate on the solution pH corresponded well to the calculated concentration of glycine exchanged to the cation-exchange membrane and the anion-exchange membrane as a function of the solution pH.
