In a previous study [1] the concept of a two-membrane reactor was demonstrated on a simple perfectly mixed reactor model. The model equations were solved numerically and it was shown that the two-membrane reactor had a better performance than a single-membrane reactor. A simple analytical analysis of the problem is presented in this paper. The results are in accordance with those obtained in previous work [1].
