Influence of physico-chemical control and of membrane composition on the coupled transport of copper(II)ions through bulk liquid membranes
The coupled transport of copper(II) ions through liquid membranes in physico-chemically-uncontrolled conditions obeys the same kinetic laws as in strictly controlled laboratory conditions. The industrial membrane solvent kerosene is less efficient than n-octane. Acorga P-50 appears to be a better carrier for copper(II) ions than Acorga P-5100 containing 4-nonylphenol.
