Global observability of continuous-time polynomial systems is studied. An algebraic necessary and sufficient condition of global observability is proved. It is expressed with the aid of real radicals of ideals in the ring of polynomials and is based on the real theorem of zeros from real algebraic geometry. (C) 2016 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
