Microwave Specific Effect on Catalytic Enantioselective Conia-Ene Reaction
Microwave irradiation was applied to the enantioselective Conia-ene reaction catalyzed by Cu(OTf)(2) with a chiral amine. Under strictly controlled temperature conditions, microwave irradiation improved the chemical yields without any loss of the enantioselectivities. Consequently, the kinetic rate by the microwave irradiation was 1.15 times higher than that by conventional heating. These observations suggested that the microwave specific effects enhanced the efficiency of the enantioselective Conia-ene reaction.
