Facile Biomolecule-assisted Hydrothermal Synthesis of Ag Nanowires with Baseball-like Tips
We report a facile biomolecule-assisted hydrothermal strategy for controlled synthesis of Ag nanowires (NWs) with baseball-like tips, where the biomolecule rutin is used both as a capping and a reducing agent. The molar ratio of rutin to AgNO3 was a key factor to form the Ag NWs. The comparative experiments with different reaction times have also been conducted to understand the growth process of Ag NWs. The growth process of Ag NWs was discussed based on the experimental results.
