A solvent free method for preparation of beta-amino alcohols by ring opening of epoxides with amines using MCM-22 as a catalyst

beta-amino alcohols were synthesized at room temperature employing microporous MCM-22 zeolite as catalyst in an eco-friendly manner without using solvent. The zeolite MCM-22 showed promising activity for the conversion of primary and secondary amines into beta-amino alcohols under mild reaction conditions.
