A newly engineered water-based displacement-fluid and spacer combination has improved the economics of a deepwater U.S. Gulf of Mexico (GOM) well dramatically. With the performance of this system now validated, operators can recover synthetic-based fluids (SBF＇s) from throughout the wellbore confidently.
