Impact of the form and timing of application of potassium fertilizers on the yield and selected quality traits of tobacco leaves
KCl and K2SO4 fertilizers were used in autumn and spring in Virginia tobacco culture to study their effect on quality and yields of the tobacco leaves. The best results were achieved when KCl was used in autumn and K2SO4, in spring in halved K2O doses (the leave yield 2.13 t/ha, partition of 18, class leaves 37.8%). The lowest Cl content in leaves (0.11%) was obsd. when K2SO4, in autumn was applied.
