Oxidative coupling of methane integrated with dehydrogenation of ethane to ethene in a single reactor
MeH was converted to ethene and/or EtH in He by oxidative coupling accompanied by dehydrogenation or oxidative dehydrogenation of EtH on SiO2 or Al2O3-supported Mn, V and Cr oxide catalysts in a flow reactor. In the presence of Cr/SiO2 catalyst at 780 degrees C and feed mixt. CH4:O-2:He = 30:12:35 by vol., the ratio of ethene/EtH in the product increased from 1.7 to 1.9.
