A new rate equation for desorption at the solid/solution interface
In this article, a new integrated kinetics Langmuir equation for desorption from the solid surface is derived. This new equation is simple and easy to be used. Several sets of kinetic data points are generated to analyze the accuracy of the new rate equation. By applying theoretical and experimental data, the applicability of the new equation is proved. The analysis of the new equation explains its relation with the pseudo first-order rate equation, and it shows the conditions of its possible application based on Langmuir model. The accuracy of theoretical derivation of pseudo first-order rate equation is proved. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
