Carbonizate from rubber tyre pyrolysis was characterized by detn. of grain size distribution (sieve anal.), grinded in a lab. ball planetary mill and in jet and impact mills, pelletized optionally in presence of pyrolytic residue, sepd. into fine and coarse fractions and then demineralized with HCI soln. The size classification of raw carbonizate was found as a cheap and efficient method for the redn. of mineral contaminants in the bulk product.
