Estimation of electrical properties of composite solid electrolytes of different morphologies
A generalized mixing rule was applied to calculation of electric properties (conductivity and dielectric permittivity) as a function of concentration and ac frequency for composites of different morphologies. Morphologies of three types were considered: (i) statistical mixture of ionic salt MX and oxide A with the same grains size of the components; (ii) composites in which A phase spreads along grain boundaries of MX and (iii) composites formed by filling the porous matrix of A with the ionic salt MX. Theoretical dependences were analyzed and compared to experimental results obtained earlier by authors or taken from the literature. (C) 2016 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
