We show that recent fluorescence and fluorescence excitation spectra of C-60 can be combined with earlier theoretical and experimental results to locate the origins of the two lowest single excited states, namely, S-1(T-1g) and S-2(G(g)). At the same time, we assign all the prominent features of fluorescence and fluorescence excitation spectra.
