D-pi-A Dyes with Diketopyrrolopyrrole and Boryl-substituted Thienylthiazole Units for Dye-sensitized Solar Cells with High J(SC) Values
The organic D-pi-A dyes HS1 and HS2 were synthesized as low-band-gap sensitizers with diketopyrrolopyrrole and boryl-substituted thienylthiazole moieties as the pi-spacer and acceptor units, respectively. Dye-sensitized solar cells containing these dyes exhibited high J(SC) values (<= 19.8 mA cm(-2)) as the absorption of HS1 and HS2 extends into the NIR region.
