Mathematical modeling of torrefaction of refuse-derived alternative fuel
Effects of technol parameters of the RDF (refuse derived fuel) torrefaction (temp., and retention time) and RDF properties on properties of the carbonized fuel (lower calorific value) were numerically modeled. The process temp. and retention time were the most important factors influencing the torrefaction efficiency. The calorific value of RDF had also an effect on the calorific value of the carbonized fuel.
