Effect of calcium carbonate addition on mechanical properties of polylactide
Com. modified CaCO3 was added (up to 30% by mass) to polylactide formed by injection molding. The composite specimens were studied for mech. properties. The CaCO3 addn. resulted in decreasing the tensile strength and elongation at break but also in increasing the impact strength and hardness.
