Pristine Bismuth-tungstate Photocatalyst Particles Driving Organics Decomposition through Multielectron Reduction of Oxygen
A comparison of the trends in photocatalytic activities of titanium(IV) oxide and tungsten(VI) oxide powders with or without loaded platinum deposits, in various reaction systems, suggested that pristine bismuth-tungstate particles without any co-catalyst deposits can drive photocatalytic decomposition of organic compounds under aerobic conditions through multi-electron reduction of molecular oxygen.
