Densities and Viscosities of Corn Oil plus n-Alkanes Blends from (288.15 to 343.15) K at 0.1 MPa
In this paper we present densities and viscosities of corn oil with n-alkanes with carbon atoms from C-7 to C-10 from (288.15 to 343.15) K at atmospheric pressure. A vibrating tube densimeter is used to measure the densities. Viscosities are measured using a pellet micro viscometer. Dynamic and kinematic viscosities are correlated using common equations previously presented in the literature. We have used an equation based upon the Gibbs activation energy to correlate the kinematic viscosities of the blends, obtaining the best performance. The average absolute percentage error from this equation is calculated as 0.86%.
