Cu-doped ZnS/Zeolite Composite Photocatalysts for Hydrogen Production from Aqueous S2-/SO(3)(2-)Solutions
We herein report the synthesis of a range of Cu-doped ZnS/zeolite composites and subsequent evaluation of their photo-catalytic activities based on hydrogen production from an aqueous S2-/SO32- solution under UV-visible light irradiation (lambda > 250 nm). We found that the hydrogen production rate over CuZnS/zeolite composites was significantly higher than over the bulk ZnS. The obtained photocatalysts were also characterized by X-ray diffraction and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy.
