Detailed kinetic study of Fischer - Tropsch synthesis for gasoline production over Co-Ni/HZSM-5 nano-structure catalyst
A comprehensive kinetic modeling of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) over Co-Ni/HZSM-5 nano-structure catalyst was developed in a fixed bed. To evaluate the chemical and physical properties of prepared catalyst and support, characterization methods of XRD, BET, H-2 chemisorption, TPR and NH3-TPD were performed. The proposed kinetic model was developed based on the alkyl mechanism. The re-adsorption and hydrogenation on the secondary sites of catalyst was included in developing kinetic model. To estimate the kinetic parameters, a series of experiments were conducted under operating conditions (i.e., temperature: 473-513 K, pressure: 10-25 bar, H-2/CO ratio of 1-2.5 and gas hourly space velocity: 900-2900 1/h). The significance and rationality of proposed comprehensive kinetic model was examined using the correlation and statistical tests.
