Effect of carnosol and carnosic and rosemary acids on the chemical properties of selected cold - pressed oils
Winter rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) cv. Adriana, garden cress (Lepidium sativum L), and black cumin (Nigella sativa L.) seeds were cold - pressed to recover resp. oils. The oils were stored at 10 degrees C for 8 weeks after addn. of dry or fresh rosmarin or rosmarin ext. and studied for acid and peroxide values and induction time. The addn. resulted in increasing both the acid and peroxide values and induction time during the storage. The oils met the quality requirements.
