Validation of a new concept of a solar air heating system with a long-term granite storage bed for a single-family house
This article includes the stages of verification for the concept of a solar air heating system with a long term heat storage system for a single family house located in Poland. Its heating system is based on the collaboration of a concentrating solar collector and rock-bed storage. Air is the working medium. Subsequent stages of verification, which include experimental tests carried out at three experimental set-ups, were presented. Tests of cooperation between a concentrating solar collector and a rock bed, which aimed to verify the correctness of the constructed mathematical model, were presented in detail. The final result of the conducted work was the selection of the size of the system components and the simulation of the annual operation of the heating system in a single family house with a heat demand for final energy of 20 kWh/m(2) a.
