A hybrid method for treatment of off-gases from high power self-ignition engines
SO2 and NOx were removed from combustion off-gases by excitation in electron beam (900 keV) and absorption in artificial sea water, optionally after addn. of NaClO2 and a phosphate buffer. Full removal of SO2 and partial removal of NOx, (about 50%) were achieved.
