Aerobic enzymatic oxidation of benzoic acid derivatives in a rotating bed reactor with hierarchically structured packing
2-Amino-3-hydroxybenzoic acid was oxidized with air 02 by using a fungal (Cerrena unicolor) laccase biocatalyst immobilized on SiO2 beads with bimodal hierarchical pore structure in a rotating bed reactor. The applied system showed a very high efficacy in 3-phase synthesis of 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-3-oxo-3H-phenoxazine-1,9-dicarboxylic acid.
