Magnetic Analysis of Symmetrical Three-Phase Y-Core Inductors
Three-phase inductors have a wide variety of applications, such as line and inverter filters. Coupled three-phase inductors are typically smaller than three single-phase inductors; and symmetrical three-phase inductors are advantageous over asymmetrical inductors in terms of reduced negative-sequence components, and in terms of mass and loss. This paper sets forth a magnetic design model of a symmetrical three-phase inductor. The model ismeant to be used in the context of multiobjective optimization based design. The model is numerically and experimentally validated.
