Errors are discovered regarding the published equation coefficients of Liu and co-workers [J. Chem. Thermodynamics 105 (2017) 1-14] for mathematically describing the solubility behaviour of L-histidine in aqueous solvent mixtures using the modified Apelblat equation and modified Jouyban-Acree model. The calculated values using the published equation coefficients for the two models are not the mole fraction solubility as stated in the published paper. (C) 2018 Elsevier Ltd.
