A novel phosphor CaZnGe2O6:Bi3+ with persistent luminescence and photo-stimulated luminescence
Bi3+-activated phosphor with ultraviolet-visible persistent luminescence and photo-stimulated luminescence is synthesized via high temperature solid phase reaction. This phosphor shows a broad emission band from 300 rim to 700 nm, a bright persistent luminescence over 12 h after ceasing the excitation and the photo-stimulated luminescence under the excitation of visible to near-infrared light. This paper reports that the operational waveband of long persistent phosphor, CaZnGe2O6:Bi3+, has been extended into the short-wavelength spectral region.
