Coagulation of a polymer solution : Effect of initial dispersion of polymer in solvent
Modeling results indicate that a moderate increase in coarseness of the initial dispersion of the polymer in solution leads to a faster coagulation rate and to the formation of a more uniform structure. Such an increase in coarseness can be obtained either by bringing the polymer solution close to the solubility limit or by increasing the stiffness of the polymer chains.
