Samples of Me esters of fatty acids were dild. with pentane (1:1 by vol.) and then vacuum-filtered through a glass fiber filter (pore diam. 0.7 pm) to det. their tendency to blocking filters. The sepd. ppt. was ultrasonic extd. with CHCl3 and then analyzed by gas chromatog. and IR spectrometry. The tested substances were viscous gels. Their chem. nature indicated the presence of oxidn. and oligomerization product of FAME as well as free sterol glucosides.
