Preparation of dual-template molecularly imprinted nanoparticles for organophosphate pesticides and their application as selective sorbents for water treatment
In this study, a series of molecularly imprinted micro- and nanopolymers were prepared for recognition and separation of some organophosphate pesticides (OPPs) in aqueous media. Binding properties of molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) were studied in comparison with non-imprinted polymers (NIPs). Our data showed that all MIPs had higher affinity than NIPs to malathion, dichlorvos, diazinon and glyphosate in methanol-water (75:25, v/v). Binding factor of the optimized polymers is significantly higher than that of other MIPs. The capacity of the optimized MIPs for water treatment and purification from OPPs was comparable with activated charcoal powder in aqueous media.
