At this year's ACHEMA, 48 suppliers of comminution technology were represented in Frankfurt, which in turn represents a slight decline compared to previous years (2012: 64, 2015: 55). Adapted to the requirements of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, the laboratory equipment for product development once again was a focal point for the apparatuses exhibited for the first time. The overview subdivides the newly presented crushing machines essentially on the basis of constructive aspects, which is closely related to the classification according to the type of stress, the strength properties and the particle size of the material to be processed.
