Electron microscopic and electron diffraction study of the ordered phases in the In2Te3-Hg3Te3 system
The superstructures of the ternary compounds HgIn2Te4, Hg3In2Te6, and Hg5In2Te8 were examined by electron diffraction and conventional electron microscopy methods. Structural models are proposed. The domain structure consisting of orientational and translational variants is briefly analyzed. Special attention is paid to the images of periodic microtwins observed in HgIn2Te4.
