Non-biological methods for degradation of nonionic surfactants in the aquatic environment
Five com. nonionic surface - active agents were degraded in aq. solns. (concn. 1000 mg/L) by electrochem. and photochem. oxidn. and by ozonation. The highest efficiency was achieved for electrochem. oxidation in case of both model solns. and actual industrial wastewater.
