Com. polyalphaolefin synthetic and vegetable oils were used for prepn. of a lubricating oil base improved then by addn. of resp. thickeners, antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors and tested for chem. changes during application in friction points under lab. and industrial conditions (drying vegetables, bakery). The lubricating oils were resistant to friction at 100 degrees C and showed a limited resistance during long-therm operation at 150 degrees C and 170 degrees C. They were recommended for practical use.
