Use of TiO2 and ZnO in the cokery wastewater treatment
Cokery wastewater was purified by photocatalytic oxidn. on TiO2 and ZnO under UV irradn. ZnO was more efficient catalyst than TiO2 and allowed for decreasing the chem. O-2 demand by 79%, content of total C by 89% and content of total N-2 by 51%. The wastewater was addnl. purified by membrane uffrafiltration.
