Cu/Al Layered Double Hydroxide by Co-precipitation with High Anti-UV Performance in Waterborne Varnish
The Cu/Al layered double hydroxide (Cu/Al LDH) with a Cu2+/(Cu2+ + Al3+) molar ratio of 0.81 was prepared via co-precipitation at pH 5.18 using a mixing solvent with DMSO, glycerol and water. The band gap of 2.58 eV is smaller than 3.07 eV of TiO2. Better anti-UV irradiation, and transparency were observed based on 0% gloss reduction loss after UV ageing.
