Ultrasensitive Paper-based ELISA by Introducing Atom Transfer Radical Polymer-modified Graphene Oxide Sheets and Gold Nanoparticles
In recent years, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) plate fabricated on paper (P-ELISA) has been well developed. However, low sensitivity is its main disadvantage and has limited its use. In this study, a modified strategy was developed by introducing atom transfer radical polymer (ATRP)-modified graphene oxide (GO) sheets and gold nanoparticles (GNs). The results suggest the ATRP/GO/GNs-modified P-ELISA (AGGP-ELISA) achieves 1024 fold amplification and is suitable for rapid identification and qualitative detection, especially in small laboratories, or developing countries.
