Abwasserreinigung in der MilchindustrieWastewater Treatment in the Dairy Industry
Depending on the end product, wastewater from milk processing plants is characterized by high fat contents and inhomogeneous nutrient equilibria. At the same time, their treatment is linked to the requirements given at the respective location, i.e., depending on the capacity of the municipal wastewater treatment plant, the wastewater can be indirectly discharged for treatment in the municipal wastewater treatment plant, must be pretreated on the plant or wastewater treatment plant site, or must be subjected to full treatment by the company. In addition to these official requirements, costs and cost-effectiveness play an important role for industrial companies. The development of a customer-specific solution for direct and indirect discharge is illustrated using an example.
