Matyas et al. recently published their paper entitled as "Decision support algorithm for the selection of analytical methods in organic compounds detection for future extraterrestrial exploratory missions," which we found interesting. However, there are some points of the developed method that need to be refined to get a practical tool for practitioners. In this commentary, we have summarized our suggestions and comments mainly from the chemical/separation point of view.
