Plasmonic enhancement for high-efficiency planar heterojunction perovskite solar cells
Plasmonic effect of the noble metal nanomaterials can be applied in perovskite solar cells for improving the device performances. In this study, Au@Ag@SiO2 core-shell nanocuboids are successfully embedded into the perovskite film of the planar heterojunction perovskite solar cells. The introduction of Au@Ag@SiO2 core-shell nanocuboids dramatically increases the short-circuit photocurrent density. The current density of the champion device increases to 23.76 mA cm(-2) compared to 20.87 mA cm(-2) of control device, indicating 13.85% improvement. The improved performances of devices are attributed to the enhancement of induced light absorption and carrier separation ability due to Au@Ag@SiO2 core-shell nanocuboids addition in perovskite film. It is promising that the plasmonic metal nanoparticles embed in perovskite materials for improving the performances of perovskite solar cells.
