Structural, thermal and magnetic investigation of Mn-Doped CdO nanocrystals
Mn-doped and undoped CdO dilute magnetic semiconductors nanoparticles Cd1-xMnxO (x = 0, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, 0.2, and 0.3) have been synthesized by co-precipitation. X-ray diffraction has been studied illustrates that Mn-doped CdO composition is nano dimension with an average size of 69.5-88.8 nm. Also, it revealed that both pure and doped CdO exhibit a cubic structure. Studies of crystallization kinetics using non-Isothermal single scan technique showed that growth occurred in one dimension for CdO and two dimensions for doped compositions. Measurements of the Hysteresis loop of the as-prepared samples showed feeble ferromagnetic nature at room temperature. The higher saturation magnetization was observed in undoped and low Mn concentration (0.01). ESR results confirmed that the doped Mn enters the host (CdO).
