Synthesis of a bio-polyol based on ricinoleic acid and epoxy resin
A corn. epoxy resin was converted to a polyol in reaction with ricinoleic acid in presence of Me2NCH2Ph at 100 degrees C under N-2. The structure of the product was confirmed by spectroscopic methods and detn. of hydroxyl groups.
