Fabrication of Anatase Thin-Films from Peroxo-Polytitanic Acid by Spray-Pyrolysis
The anatase structure of titanium dioxide (TiO2) shows high catalytic activity as a semiconductor photocatalyst. Anatase thin films were successfully fabricated by spray pyrolysis of peroxo-polytitanic acid. Films have an indirect bandgap energy of 3.08 eV and a direct bandgap energy of 3.65 eV. The porosity of the films increased with increasing substrate temperature.
